Herb Square
This little shop, just down the street from Art Hills, has a large European-style garden that holds over 500 kinds of herbs! Visitors are welcomed to take a leisurely stroll through the garden and smell the fresh herbs in abundance. Inside the shop itself, you will discover a world of homemade medicinal herbal teas, aroma therapy products, and dried flower arrangements.
The shop also runs a small café where you can indulge in the herbal tea of your choice, as well as an assortment of treats. I recommend you try the seasonal Mocha Herb soft-serve ice cream. I was amazed to discover that the ice cream doesn’t use any coffee, but an herb that tastes very similar coffee. Delicious!
There is a large wooden deck behind the shop where you can relax and enjoy your tea, while enjoying views of the Azumino Valley and their surrounding garden. There is also a cozy wooden loft for use primarily in the winter. Classes are also available on aroma therapy. Inquiry directly for season and availability.
